FAQ

  • When do the gates open?
    Gates open at 8:00AM. Static displays, kids zone, and exhibits will open at 8:00AM. The parachute jump with the American flag and the National Anthem will be at approximately 10:30AM. Performers will start at approximately 11:00AM and continue until about 4:30PM. We suggest arriving in plenty of time before the performances are scheduled to begin.
  • What types of tickets are available?
    General Admission General Admission tickets simply get you in the gate to the air show. You may bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy the air show at your leisure. Reserved Seating Reserved seating includes your admission into the Airshow, and also a prime seat on the Flight Line to watch all of your favorite performers. No more sitting on the ground, enjoy your own seat and also getting to sit beside your family and friends. You're welcome to go in and out as that seat is yours all day. Choose between a "Saturday" ticket or a "Sunday" ticket. Concessions and washrooms are available outside of the reserved seating area. VIP Flight Line Club Tickets The VIP Flight Line Club is a chalet located directly on the flight line with the best views of the flying action. In addition to “in and out access” throughout the day to visit the static displays, exhibit booths and kids area, the Flight Line Club offers covered and outside seating (tables and shade areas are first come first serve) as well as a catered lunch and unlimited refreshments throughout the day. Lunch beginning at 11:30 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Beer and wine are provided in the Club. The Club also offers dedicated porta-lets for the convenience of our guests.   • Where can I purchase tickets?
    Advance tickets (for all types of seating) can be purchased online from our website. Visit our Buy Tickets page for more details.
  • Can I get a refund?
    Refunds will not be provided week of show. You may transfer your tickets to someone else.
  • How do I get my tickets when buying online?
    When you purchase your tickets online, you need to have an email address ready. Tickets bought online are sent to your email address where you can download and print out your tickets instantly! Tickets come from our event website, Eventbrite.com and may go to your spam folder. Tickets can be printed or shown on device for entry into gates.
  • Are children free?
    Children 8 and under are free. Many fun activities for kids: Aircraft tours, Rides, Bounce house and inflatables. 9 and older pay General Admission.
  • Do you offer military or senior citizen discounts?
    No. The only ticket discounts that we offer are the advance purchase discounts available through the website up until the day of the show.
  • Are there any group discounts?
    Group discounts are available for groups of 40 or more. For group sales, please call 901-867-7007
  • Will tickets be sold at the gate?
    We recommend to pre-purchase tickets to skip the line, and get the best price possible. Tickets could be sold out at gate and will be at the highest price tier.
  • Can I upgrade my General Admission tickets to Flightline Reserved Seating or Flight Deck Club once I get there?
    Yes, if tickets are not sold out in that area. You may pay the difference in your ticket price to upgrade to the reserved seating area.
  • Can I use my Saturday reserved tickets on Sunday instead or my reserved Sunday ticket on Saturday?
    No. You must use the reserved Reserved Flightline tickets for the day for which they are purchased. The reserved seating areas have assigned seats and the other day’s seats are already assigned to someone else.
  • I can’t find my tickets!
    Tickets are sent to your email address upon purchase, please download and print them. Sometimes they get sent to your junk or spam folders be sure to check those places to see if your tickets might be in there. You must bring your ticket(s) to the air show in order to gain entrance to the air show. If you need help accessing your tickets, please email info@midsouthairshow.com.
  • How much is parking?
    General parking is included in your ticket price. VIP parking is available for purchase.
  • Is there public transportation available to the opening gates of the airshow?
    Unfortunately not, local taxi's and Uber are available if you are in need of a ride.
  • Is there handicapped parking?
    Yes. You must have a handicapped plate or tag in the car and make sure the parkers flagging your car are aware of your handicapped status. They will direct you to the area you will need to park in. Parking is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to insure a parking spot.
  • Where can I stay for the weekend?
    There are many great lodging facilities in the area.
  • Can I bring a scooter/wheelchair/golf cart?
    Motorized scooters and wheelchairs for disabled patrons are allowed in the air show grounds. Personal golf carts are not allowed. Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the show to plug in and recharge.
  • Is there a schedule of events?
    We list our acts, but cannot give a specific schedule since schedules are finalized much closer to the air show and depend on availability and various conditions. *All acts are subject to change/cancellation without notice
  • Can I bring a lawn chair or blanket?
    Yes! There is no seating included with your General Admission ticket and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. However, no tents, sun umbrellas, or canopies are allowed
  • Can I bring my own food and drink?
    Outside food and drinks are not allowed. There will be a range of food vendors available on the show grounds.
  • Can I bring a stroller or wagon for my kids?
    Yes, strollers or small wagons are allowed. Diaper bags for small children are allowed. Security personnel at the gates will search all items and have the final say on what is allowed in.
  • What should I bring/wear?
    You are welcome to bring the following items: • Comfortable shoes • Sunscreen • Comfortable clothes for a sunny day • Ear protection for kids (ear plugs, etc) • Sunglasses • Your camera (minus the bulky camera bag) • Something to sit on (blanket, lawn chair, stroller/wagon for the kiddos) • Money for the midway/food/drinks/souvenirs • A great attitude and a love for all things aviation related!
  • What items are NOT allowed?
    The following items are NOT allowed: • Backpacks • Coolers • Alcohol • Cans • Glass containers • Pets • Weapons • Narcotics and paraphernalia • Roller blades or skates • Skateboards • Sun Umbrellas, Shade Tents
  • What if it rains?
    Unfortunately there are no refunds regardless of weather unless the gates do not open as scheduled.
  • Can I bring a sun umbrella?
    Sun Umbrellas are not allowed.
  • Are cameras allowed?
    Yes, cameras for personal use are allowed. You camera bags will be checked by the gate security upon entry. Remember that the air show performance and many performers’ acts are copyrighted, and your photography or video cannot be used for commercial purposes.
  • Are pets allowed?
    Pets are not allowed onto the air show area and should not be left in vehicles. Because of the festival setting with food and drink vendors, the Health Department prohibits animals, other than legally allowed guide and assistance animals. Please also understand that temperatures on the tarmac area can easily reach in excess of 100 degrees and will burn a pet’s feet. Plus, the loud noises and explosions can injure their sensitive hearing and/or frighten the animals.
  • Will there be ATMs?
    Yes, there will be ATMs available.
  • Will there be shade?
    The air show is held under an open sky. You are encouraged to bring hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion. No tents or canopies are allowed.
  • Do I need hearing protection?
    The air show strongly encourages you to bring and use proper hearing protection such as quality earplugs, and especially so for children. The noise from the jet engines and pyrotechnic explosions may be painful or harmful for some.
  • Look – Don’t touch
    Be careful when you are near airplanes or other displays. Equipment can be easily damaged. Do not touch exhibits unless you have permission from the pilot or owner. Keep your children close and let them know they should not touch anything. No smoking near the aircraft.
  • Is the show the same both Saturday and Sunday?
    Generally, yes, the show is the same. However, there may be some variations depending on special aircraft, which may make only a one-day fly-by appearance.
  • Can I go out to my car and re-enter the show?
    Re-entry will not be allowed once you have left the gates.
  • Can we watch the show from our car in the parking lot?
    No. Even if you have purchased tickets, you must leave your vehicle and view the show from inside the air show grounds. This rule is due to FAA safety regulations involving the performance area.
  • Can I arrange for a handicap parking drop off/pick up close to the eating area?
    Unfortunately, we do not have shuttle service to/from the show due to foot traffic and aircraft proximity.
  • Why the restrictions on coolers, large bags, and totes?"
    The FAA and Department of Homeland Security have required us to enforce these rules for your safety. You will be on airport grounds. This is a rule common to all airports, major air shows, and events in the U.S.
  • What is the radio frequency used by the air show?
    That information is not released to the general public.
  • About NOTAMs
    NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) will be issued throughout the Air Show week, but we are scheduled to close the airport on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00AM and re-open at 5:00PM
